In this photo I see 5 girls for sure..... possibly 7.
Would need to see more photos of them from different angles to be more accurate.
Let's see if Lensters stops in and gives his opinion. He's got a good eye.
They are adorable. You will love Welsummer eggs...still to this day after getting a Wellie egg I have to run up to the house and show everyone.
Thanks PinkChick, however, Kevin (don't know his login, but he lurks on this thread) would probably disagree with you. I sold him 6 pullets and 3 ended up being the black breasted, large comb and crowing version.
Apparently the third batch of hens I purchased (that was supposed to have come from the same flock I got the second batch) doesn't have the sex linked gene that causes the difference in eye markings. I have heard this is pretty common with hatchery birds (though I have been assured no hatchery birds were added to the flock that I got the hens from). I will upload pics and update this post when I do just to see if someone sees something that I didn't.
With that said, here is my opinion: four of them have eye markings that tend to go along with being pullets. They all have pretty well defined head markings so I can't say anyone is definitely a cockerel. More pictures from the side would be helpful.
You can see all the pics of the six Wellies at:

I have figured out how to differentiate the chicks now, can you?
