Thank you and you are welcome. I hope you are able to find some Wellies they are great birds. The males do commonly have more barred wings than the females but not always. I very rarely pay much attention to the wing feathers because the head markings are so obvious with the eye liner and everything. If you find some with no eye liner and barred wings I would say don't get them if you don't want roos. Lots of eye liner and a dark V on top, you should be good.Thank you so much! I'll go back to the store tomorrow and pick a few out. (If there are any left) I may also try one from the misc. bin just to see what it turns out to be.
Your chicks are adorable by the way! Is there a difference in the wing feathers? The males wings in your photo look more barred than the females. Is that something else to look for?
