The Welsummer Thread!!!!

well since I only ordered only Welsummers, might need to call the hatchery about his one. Thanks
Well....maybe take some more pics with legs and heads/faces showing in good bright light.
The legs 'look' white to me, but it may be my eyes or monitor.

Oh and take a look thru the pics...on right side of page up near top (on lap top).

I have two pullets (5.5 months) that are aggressive towards us, will peck at hands when we pet other chickens-we move slowly. And then they will also attach our feet :/ Anyone experience this with Wellies?

That can happen with any breed...'peck' them back with finger tips on top of head, if that doesn't work, hold them down to ground with hand on back until they submit. Be the 'head hen'.

Will do! Thank you :)

Eta-I swat them is that wrong? Like a Cesar Milan does with dogs, just a touch like hey excuse me! Because they rear back when they see my hand coming to discipline so I don't think I could get the back of their head :/

I agree with pecking them on the head. More interaction will also help get the used to you which will equal less pecking. :)
