I'm glad I found this thread! Everyone's Wellies are just beautiful!!!
I love Wellies and am hoping to have some soon....
I ordered my chicks not knowing if I could find any Wellies, but the hunt is now on!
I think they are the most beautiful of all the breeds!

I know that I'm late on this but I agree with PinkChick that this is a boy. At this age you can see a distinct difference in the breast feathers. The males will be the solid orange the girls will be pretty much the same pattern all over except there will be a little of their trademark shafting showing through.

I'm going to have to disagree with PinkChick on this one. Unless the light is doing funny things this chick has eye markings and I find those to be nearly 100% reliable while the head and back markings are 80% reliable or less. Of course this is for the four lines of Wellies I have dealt with, I have heard that some lines aren't as reliable as these.

After looking at the photo again from my husbands computer (his shows pictures much clearer than mine) Lensters is right and I was wrong. Congrats on HER!

I have Bantam Welsummers of the Dutch Bloodine - Amestein. These are not related to the German line that has been in the USA for about 20 years.

If you are interested contact me, the girls are laying pretty steady.
