I think he has several different breeds of chickens besides the prized Welsummers and Sussexes, i would not be surprised if he has some BCM going on in there! I think he enjoys colorful eggs but I have not YET heard if he has any EE's. If I read right, Prince charles' prized birds' eggs are eaten specifically JUST for his egg comsumption (or his family as well). The rest of the breed eggs would be sold in markets.

YEP, my Wellies LOVES to have their feet in waterers or in a tub of water......no wonder it is so filthy twice a day and they still drink out of it ugh! I have one small bucket on the outside of the fence, even I am taking chances for them to be exposed to wild birds drinking out of it, so they can poke their heads thru the chain link and drink out of the cleaner bucket.

Until I can figure out to make a "water cage" similar to an upside down metal hay corner feeder for horses and put the bucket there and the birds can drink out of the bu ckets by poking heads in the slots but body and feet will not be in there to be muddied up.

Since you've brought nationalism into, maybe Chuck should stick to something more Anglican then. Maybe some Orpingtons or Sussex. After all, there have been a number of Anglo-Dutch conflicts too. The Welbar, I would think, would be a slap in the face of the crown. First, you have a Dutch, a colonial-period competitor. Then, an American, the colonial offspring that upstaged the crown and steped over it in the super-power pecking order, so to speak. At least the French bird is trendy.

Food for thought, Mervin!!!!!!!

Never looked at that way! Well most of the England was run or preside by an Anglo Saxon in the Middle Ages. After all I think I would not be surprised if Charles have some Orpingtons in his flock for his egg customers.

I wanna window shop at his store!
