I agree with you robin - I didnt comment - she is happy with them, thats all that matters, lol... But there definately were flaws I think. Did you see the hackles at the bast of the neck?

Rotti~

Here a photo that I have posted before of one of my Kummer pullets. She is very small but she is beautiful. I think she was around 6 months old in this photo. I hatched her in March.

Pink, are you sure it is not a bantam????????? Hee hee!

Yes Erhard has some good looking birds on his farm and Royce got most of his birds from him as well. Royce did add a few of "Mastiff's" hatching eggs but not sure if they did result some chicks or not for him to work with, focusing on the Barber birds as close as he can, to keep the line pure as they can be.

Nate, I did notice his hackles and I could not tell if it is the color of the actual bird or the photograph. Looks rather odd too. And yes, Royce's input would be nice for the comments on that roo and pullet. Not sure if any of you guys can see the photo I am looking at?

Robin~ I know!!!!!! I was wondering the same thing myself....she only weighs around 3.5-4 lbs. I love her the same, if I crossed her to Odin that would surely put some size back into her offspring, but the problem is with her.......she thinks that her permanant home is in one of my Marans coops. No matter how many times I have tried to keep her in the Welsummer coop....she ain't having it, no way, no how.

Oh well, let her make her home with the Marans LOL!

Oh good grief, did you see the price she got for the 2011 hatching eggs from the trio? WOW!

AND thanks for the standard.......need to copy it on the WCNA website!

So who are considered some of the top breeders and lines of Welsummer?
Do they have any websites? I have seen mentioned Erhard and Kummer, but cannot seem to locate any websites.
Any others?

If looking for Erhard specifically....try looking up kummerpoultry and see what you get. I have the info somewhere but no time to get to it. Yes he has a website that shows all of the breeds that he works with. One day when I grow up lol.....I'm getting some of his Mahogany Orloffs! Yummy!
edited to add: just type in kummerpoultryfarm it pops right up.
