2 of Trisha's are zipping now.

And with 3 power outages (the longest being 6 hours and no temp even registering on the thermometer inside the bator) I'm just happy as heck to have as many babies as I do!

for mother nature!

Kim -- The eggs have landed! Not without some panic, though. The post office didn't call me, so I called them and asked about my HATCHING EGGS. Nope, he said, nothing like that here. But my HATCHING EGGS left Redding on the truck this morning, I said. Nope, he said, nothing peeping here. HATCHING EGGS, I said, not chicks! Oh, he said. Eggs. Not chicks? Yes, I said, HATCHING EGGS. Hmmm ---- let me go look, he said. [wait wait wait]. Oh yes, he said there are some eggs here, but they're not chirping. Uh......... duh?

Anyway, I dashed right in and picked them up, and are they ever beauts! Thank you, Kim. Of course I'll keep y'all posted.

Well, I can't do photo's of the wellies yet, I'm not opening that bator until the barnies from Trisha are done zipping.

BUT, in the "other" bator that Mary (The Warden) was nice enough to let me borrow (her Brinsea with humidity pump), I was able to pull Kim's barnevelder baby out to band it and snap a couple quick shots. Now it's back in the bator for the "cheering committee".
