I have been looking at marans and wellies from different sources. I was wondering how the birds are from darkeggsdaily.com and paps poultry.
I can't wait to see the dark eggs. I want to add a few to my mixed egg cartons for sale. They now have all shades of brown and green blue. My customers love the color and variety and would like to add a really dark egg to the mix.

Very somber morning here friends.....#18 my favorite girl has passed due to being egg bound. I spent the day yesterday and up all night with her doing everything possible, she passed this morning.

I am totally heart broken over the loss the of this particular hen. I am glad however that her daughter that I am growing out is looking as good as she did and she should be laying in a little over a month. Unfortunately #18 was raising chicks when I was collecting eggs for this last hatch of Wellies. I'm going to have to make do with only 1 of her daughters.
