I still remember how I felt unpacking the eggs I got from Nate last year. After having what I thought were great eggs, unpacking his eggs was such a treat. I'm glad my girls are carrying on the tradition. I haven't bred any for next year and I want to consider egg color when I do. while they are all pretty good, there is one hen that lays my favorite, its so pretty I can always pick hers out of the bunch.
Ewesheep, any opinions on why the one egg is so pale??? I've never had one like that before and it seemed odd to see one that light. I haven't had a light one since then either. I do have two young pullets, I suppose it could have come from one of them, but its was a pretty big egg
