Congratulations on your lovely eggs Kelly! Oh and good luck with the patience thing with the Barnies...I swear I was going to pull my hair out waiting for Stephanie to start laying and then all of a sudden......BAMM, 6 mos and 1 day old, she gave me her first egg. I think that we think they are taking forever because of how much slower they mature vs our other breeds. Ug and Stephs first daughter is laying and takes after her mommy and won't lay in the nest box. My one and only girl from Johan's eggs this year should be getting ready in about a month, watch she'll lay on the floor as well.

Still have 4 more girls to wait on after that as well.

Okay back to Wellie's.

My girls are molting....no pretty Wellie eggs for me at present.

Can't wait to see everyone else's eggs too, I know there are quite a few folks out there that got eggies from me and their kiddos should be getting pretty close if your girls and Steve's girls are already laying. Going to have to send off an email to CherylCohen to see what her girls are up to because they are just slightly older than yours.

My computer has been in for repair due to my clumsiness. Pouring coffee on the keyboard is never a good thing. Computer is fixed now if I can get my wireless router going life will be back to normal.

I did have a broody hatch out two welsummer pullets this past Sunday so the last week wasn't a total disaster.

Yup, my Wellies form Kim are 24 weeks this weekend and began laying 2 days ago. One of the girls was in the nest box this AM - taking her sweet time of course... I had to go to work but I should have something when I get home.

Kim, I got my first BCM egg yesterday... Either that or a very dark Wellie egg. You may have been right about your first guess on the egg I posted the other day. This was in the same nest box... I'm so confused...

It will sort itself out over the next few days... Ts'all good!
