The Welsummer Thread!!!!

I have a question. I have 2 welsummers one is a dark mahogany and the other is a lighter more golden brown color. Both are from the same hatch. Is it true that the darker one will be the roo? I will post pics in a minute

Hogback, give him some time to fill out and mature. Even he may not be the BEST there is but wait until he matures before we start picking him apart or we like him altogether. He has one extra point on his comb. He has the Leghorn lanky conformation so like I said, wait until he matures.

The dark one is definately NOT a Welsummer. The light one is. (unless you got them from the hatchery, it could be either Welsummer or Brown Leghorn).

Thanks. Yes the dark came from a hatchery...Privott to be specific. Im glad to know its not a wellie roo but now I wonder what it is. I wonder now what it is.

The last time I saw something like that it was a Buttercup but the coloring and comb are not showing Buttercup....Hmmmmm! I'm still thinking!

Took a look at the website and if it is anything remotely, I would guess a Golden Campine.
