Your from Ohio.... that is too funny. I'm in the snow belt and if it's not over a foot we aren't in any kind of emergency.... They just tell you to be carefull.

I'm sure you know, but just in case someone doesnt: Every state has a different way of dealing with weather. Here in the south, we dont usually get this sort of weather on a regular basis, hence the apprehension. Just like up north, they arent used to heat waves. We have more stupid people during cold, like you do stupid people when it's hot outside.
We freeze, you melt.
If there is any sort of rain, sleet, snow, ice. We have people forget how to drive, walk, use caution when running generators inside homes, etc. lol BTW! DO NOT EVER USE A GENERATOR INSIDE A HOME!!!

Yeah I was just given everyone a hard time. Be careful, ice is way more dangerous than snow. But that storm is blowing are way.... you guys can have the ice.... we will take the snow. Lake Erie is very shallow and thank god it has frozen over, this way we won't get any lake affect.

Did you say heat wave??? Man it was 34 last week and I was cookin!! Time to put the swim trunks on for anything over 50

When he came down here the first time, he wasnt expecting to wear tank tops in Jan. let alone, get a sunburn on top of it!!! Me, wasnt expecting sweats, long johns and thermals all just to go to the bathroom in August in Maine. lol

Ya Maine gets hit hard too. They have short seasons except for winter... Fall is absoultly beautiful up there. And the lobsters are to die for.....

I lived in both areas wasy down south in Florida and now up here in Ohio. I have experienced both extremes . In the south they get of school for hurricanes instead. THe northeners laugh about the south having to shut down because of a 1/2in of snow and the south laughs at the northern folks for breaking down in 85F weather.

But when it's 85 degrees we don't shut down....

We just complain and try to stay cool... drinking Long Islands... and waiting for the BBQ to be done
