Well, tomorrow around 11:30 am, I'll be well knocked out and having a molar surgically removed. I plan on having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
I've only been under anesthesia once before, and that was some 38 years ago, so I have no memory of it. I'm kind of anxious about it, but my mom and others have told me it's no big deal. Mom says I'll just slide into a nice nap, then wake up wondering where the dump truck is that just hit me. I told her I hope she doesn't have to pour me back into the truck to take me home.
So, after all is said and done, I won't be around for at least 24 hrs., probably sleeping off some really nice drugs.
Another anxiety to add to this: my son just got his driver's license last week, so he'll be taking himself and his sister to school in the morning with MY car. I won't be in any condition to pick them up from school, so it's just more convienent to let him take it. He has to work with his dad anyway, so it's not like he'll be running the roads. That still doesn't make me feel any less nervous! Don't worry, he's got plenty of driving time under his belt, and he's a good driver, but STILL!
