Thank you for giving us a chance. I agree that if anymore unnecessary crudeness is posted this thread should and will be closed.

You know, I never knew that "average" height in clothes actually starts at 5' 6". I am 5' 6" maybe just a speck over. It is the one thing I have always been thankful for physically. Everything is exactly the right length. Jeans, tops, everything. Now I know why.

my mom is 5' 2" with no torso to speak of and she has absolute fits buying clothing!

Oh don't get me started on a clothing size rant. Why is it that women's and children's clothes aren't sold by measurements? WHY???? All clothing should be sold by measurements instead of arbitrary sizes. I HATE guessing if my son is a medium or a large. It simply depends on their sizing. But I know his measurements. Do they really think women are too vain to buy clothing by measurement? I would love simply being able to choose jeans by waist and inseam rather than wading through four pairs of jeans in the dressing room trying to figure out my size.

Grateful for the major monitoring, deleting and rewording of some of the posts I saw on here earlier.

Good job Terri.

This little rant isn't about bras but about the plunging necklines clothing manufacturers must think all large women want. I'm currently wearing a maternity shirt that I had to safety pin together because the neckline plunged all the way down to my bra... UGH! Just because I have larger girls does not mean I want to show them off to the world!

For awhile there all shirts seemed to have a plunging neckline, even the shirts for smaller people. It was very annoying.

My neighbor is stuck with t-shirts because of the fact that any nice shirts tends to show off her assests a little too much for her comfort.

I didn't see the crude posts but I know that the monitors do a great job of making certain that we stay a family friendly site.

Hooray for the monitors.

Thanks, Terrie, for keeping this clean.

This really can be a health issue. One of my pet peeves about bras is that by the time I get the cup size right, the band no longer fits. I have the choice of having the bra ride up over the gals when I raise my arms, or having the band so tight that it causes trouble with my hiatal (sp?) hernia. That can't be healthy. Neither is unconsciously rounding one's shoulders, trying to keep the straps on. WHY don't bra makers move the strap ends in toward the clasp in the back, sort of like a racer?

If I could sew, I would be really tempted to try designing bras. For now, I'll have to check out the sites mentioned above.

my biggest problem is that although i have found 2 that do not cause the irritation i mentioned earlier, one of them is about an inch thick and slightly too big, and the other is slightly too small. they are both the same size! its ridiculous. and I really don't see the need for an inch of padding. i don't have particularly big girls, but a 34c isn't all that small either, and do not require an inch of padding.
