You are correct, but the attitude of most people is the same as the OP... no respect and not caring. And after 7 years of doing this, I can tell you that it doesn't get better, which to me, is very sad.

Another example of not caring....

Woman pulls into the parking lot, gets out, lets out three LARGE dogs...loose. The dogs obviously make a beeline for my living property here as they smell my dogs. She comes in the store and I ask "Can I have your address?"
She "But why?"
Me "So I can bring my NINE dogs to YOUR HOUSE to take a crap."

She got mad at ME

The Op did state that before the lady moved into the strip mall that she had asked the shop owners if it would be alright to use the lot as a bus stop and they all agreed. I don't think she was being disrespectful and not caring. Maybe she should have also talked to the other lady when she moved in, but the OP also stated that the vibe around the lady's shop wasn't a welcoming one.

I used to run a chain of movie theaters. No matter what kind, how big, how polite, or how rude your sign was, NO ONE READS THEM! or THEY SIMPLY IGNORE THEM!
And I had a neighbor that brought her dog to MY yard (I had the largest is town, full city block with no fencing) to crap every day. When I would catch her she quite literally would run away. Never stopped though til I found out where she lived and returned all of it. On her front porch. After it aged in a plastic bag with just enough water to stew it well. Town Marshal came to my door to ask my side. (Town hall was directly across the street from me) I explained, he stated he had seen her using my place for her dog to crap several times, and he left. LAUGHING his butt off. Said he wished he'd thought of the "stewing" part. He had a neighbor just like mine.

OH YES SHE WAS!! The second the business owner asked for her to move and she didn't, she was tresspassing!! PERIOD. Was the business owner right the she handled it the first time? Probably not.

The only way she would have been treaspassing was if the the business owner actually owned the property that she was parked on. It sounds to me like there were no signs saying who is allowed to park there ie: customers of said shop or strip mall only.
The business owner had no right to run out yelling and screaming at her. Even if there was signs the business owner still had no right to act the way she did.

Maybe she ran out of parking spots for her customers because noncustomers thought that they were entitiled to them. Or maybe she just moved to a new area.

She said "lately she didn't care" not that she didn't care at all. There is a big difference.
And again I say if there where no signs stating that the said parking area is for such and such business then she can park where ever she wanted to.
I also have seen in two different states where parking lots have been used for school bus pickups and turn arounds. It does make it nicer when traffic doesn't have to stop every two mintues to pick kids up especially elementary school kids where the monitor has to go around the bus to make sure there are no children "hidding".

Absolutely not true. I've rented many strip mall spaces, stand alone buildings etc. If I tell you to leave and you don't you are tresspassing. Had to have a few arrested who thought like you.

So screw common courtesy and respect for others property? Again, I see it ALL too often that it's becoming commonplace to do what you want rather than think about what you're doing.

You notice that the business owners on here say the same. Own a small public biz and see if you don't see it too.
