THE WORLDS SMALLEST CHICKEN EGG?! 🤯

It happens fairly frequently in spring when the chickens start laying again. Less so in the summer but you'll get one every once in a while. You'll also get BIG eggs that are either double yolk OR and egg inside an egg. I don't have a picture but I had a fairy egg last week that was just yolk, very little white and no shell, just the membrame. It was pretty cute. I let the chickens eat it, they'll recycle and try again. I got this one yesterday and it does have a yolk inside, judging by candling, but I've gotten them that were all egg white. Guess which one of these eggs is the Fairy egg from yesterday.

Ok, so I was going out to put my chickens away tonight and it was just barely bright enough to see and I was collecting eggs and when I was feeling around felt something super small, hard, and round, at first I could not believe my eyes and thought I was hallucinating or something but no! When I brought it inside I weighed it and it only weighed 13 grams!! (.5 ounces)

(I promise you that there was no photoshop or picture editing involved as I used a variety of different backgrounds, lighting, and comparisons)

I hope you all are as baffled as I am and hope you have a wonderful day!

And does anyone know is this truly is the world's smallest chicken egg?!

I get these sometime. I stick them in the fridge for conversation pieces. No one believes their chicken eggs. Cute!

If you wash and leave the egg in the fridge for a few weeks they will dry up inside and wont have a hole in them. I left a dozen eggs in the fridge at the "other" farm for well over a year and they didnt even smell too bad when broken open. They actually dehydrate themselves. Hollow with a gummy yolk and a bit of glazed white.
