So sorry for your loss.

Thankfully he sounds like he is willing to keep the dog under control... who knows, it may have been an accident that it got out but it doesn't sound like it's the first time if "one cat" had an encounter with the dog, too.

Hopefully it doesn't come around anymore.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

This just happened to us two weeks ago. I lost 20 of my girls to our neighbors dogs. Unfortunately, we didn't catch them in the act, but the fact that 10 were all over their driveway you would think they would at least apologize. Oh NO!! They tried to blame it on a fox. Like a fox would take my chickens to her house, where her 2 dogs are outside. We are trying to figure out how to fence in a larger part of our yard so they can enjoy more of "their" property. Good luck with dealing with your neighbor.

So sorry for your loss... but glad that the final outcome was doable. Sounds like your neighbor is at least trying.
