The Wyandotte Thread

All the hens are laying now.
Never had Wyandotte bantams who laid their first egg at 5 months.
Normally I have to wait until they are 7-8 months old.
The hen that is broody is only 6 months old.
Never had such a young (future) mother.
These are all very strong and healthy birds.
Could't be more happy with the breeding result this year.

. I think this is the one? I got 9 new chickens yesterday from a breeder, but I dont really know what all I got. She was maming off breeds and I was just in shock looking at the 200 birds roaming all over the place. My husband was in the car ready to leave me there! She showed me her incubator full of eggs and I was so excited!!! It has become an obsession with me now!! I am up to 22 chickens and I still want Silkies! I am running out of places to put them. I used a pack n play yesterday for chicks (4) but they might fly out of that soon.
