The Wyandotte Thread

Im so glad this picture shows what mossy feathering is. Ive been reading these posts a long time. This really helps

None of my wyandottes are aggressive. Maybe your friend had hatchery Wyandottes... that might make a difference. I have never owned hatchery Wyandottes so I don't know for sure.
Hatchery Wyandottes are notoriously aggressive! I have raised some in the distant past and I had to carry a bucket in with me every day to put between myself and roosters, really the only true man fighters I have ever raised. Didnt keep them for long either!
As opposed to breeder Wyandottes who may be the most docile birds I have ever raised.

It seems I have at least a pair o White Wyandottes. I think I have 2 roos.... they are huge too. Much bigger than their hatch mates.

AND my choc wyandotte that jumped the fence laid me an egg today

it was cracked next time maybe.

Thank you both. Both Bantams are 6 years old now and still look good. I just wish I could find a good standard breeder of chocolates and whites.
I am not going to be much help, but my Choc Pair (Choc Pullet and Split Roo) came from Jerry Foley. My whites..... IDK anything about them. I bought the eggs for a friend that just wanted pullets and when she was ready to get them I could not tell the pullet. They all had about the same color and size combs. Mine are LF. The only bantams I have are Silver Penciled Wyandottes.

Does anyone have LF SPW??????
