Who was the judge? Did you ever take any pictures of the White cockerel?

I can't remember the judges name sadly... here are some pictures of the white cockerel and silver laced cockerel as well. The judge actually said he was the best looking silver he has seen for a while but had to disqualify him for stubs. I really wanted to talk to the judge about the pros and cons of my birds but he was so busy I wasn't able to after the judging. The one good thing I showed some other breeders pictures of my pullets I grew out and they were very impressed. The only bad news is I had a fox kill 8 chickens yesterday and some may have been my really nice pullets . Waiting for the death toll from my parents....

White wyandotte male is really nice. Is this your line or where did your line originate?

Neither of these boys are mine. The white boy is owned by Donald Monke; very nice guy. It sounds like he has developed his own line but I could be wrong. I know he developed his own colombian line from scratch.

Beautiful birds..Congrats for your wins! With a Judge like that it was an honor to be placed, he must have loved your birds. When a tuff Judge is so critical and will DQ on a small comb issue and than places a few of your birds in the bred he clearly loves, he is impressed with what you have. Outstanding job.

I am so sorry to hear of the fox..beautiful creatures can be so destructive. You need an LGD with your valuable birds or a mule.

Does anyone just breed Black Wyandottes? All we can find is BBS breeders. We are looking for Black for a project...

Thank you! It definitely was an honor for him to place my birds. I feel like I am becoming recognized a bit more especially by the other breeders even though I am young. I always meet the nicest people at shows. Can't wait to go to the next show!

We have a great pyeranees but she was in side eating at the time of the attack. My good pullets weren't eaten (thank god) but I'm still sad I lost the others. My poor dad lost his favorite partridge cochin hen and it was on his birthday too . Thankfully he still has his partridge cochin rooster. I think the fox that came through is the new mate of the female that hangs around. I think she just had kits or is about to and that's why the male we saw was so bold. We haven't had a fox attack in 3 years until yesterday. Hopefully this is that last!

I agree. Her comb isn't her strong point. I just didn't realize the small spikes which were disqualifications.
