most poultry are fairly line bred as it is, so breeding half sibs or even full sibs isn't an issue usually. but if you can, down the road for future generations, you get stock from another source to outcross with to maintain viability and vigor.WARNING: DUMB QUESTION FOLLOWS
Wouldn't breeding birds from the same hatch be in-breeding?
I bought 5 chicks from a lady who had one, maybe two roosters and several hens. Would that make the chance of breeding two that are siblings?
