The Wyandotte Thread

Aww, she is so adorable!

I cleaned out the nest box today and added a few perches around the coop, hopefully we will get one egg tonight!

You just love teasing us with all the great colors you have.......

Teasing yes... But I'm also looking for people who have experience with the red porcelain color.
These youngsters are transforming zo much in a short time.
I want to be able to detect some good colored animals earlier.

I am in love with the beautiful laces on her and the majestic stance she has.

Thanks, I put her in with my blrw roo, from one egg I got a black laced and the second was a splash looking colour. I didn't get a pic of the later and unfortunately it was taken by my resident hawk yesterday. I had it in an A frame with a Silkie momma, I thought it was safe.

So sorry to hear about your little one.

So sorry for your loss!

Today, I brought Finn, my bantam rooster who lives inside, outside to see the girls. He immediately went for Speckles, but she decided to attack him twice! He's ok now, thankfully.

How common is it for partridge Wyandottes (mine is a bantam... Don't know if that matters) to have feathers on their legs?

My little newly hatched bantam partridge wyandotte has a little bit of down coming down the outside of her legs. It doesn't go down very far, but it is definitely where it shouldn't be.

I am just wondering if I got what I paid for...... Ebay eggs.
