I am not sure how many pairs we will have for sale this fall. We only sold about 4 really nice pairs last fall after a big upgrade to our breeding pens and we are culling heavier this year when the birds are still young. The bad combs are going first this year because you can cull early on that one. We do a lot of raising and culling to get the nice ones, I wish the BLRWs were as easy as the SLWs.

One really random question...what size legband works on them? I was thinking a size 12? I will be ordering from Cutler Supply.

Hi,

I hatched 8 SLW. I tried to feather sex them. They are now one month, and the ones I think are roos's still have very short tail feathers and the hens have longer tail feathers. I think that the combs are a little different as well. How long before I can see more of a difference in the combs?

Hi everyone
I ordered assorted Wyandottes with my chick order and I can not figure out what breed they send me, my order is big time mixed up, but I have no BR's, No Delaware's
and was missing 5 speckled sussex. ARG, anyway there fixing it next months hatch, but I cant figure out what these yellow fuzzy butts with the gray saddle, and gray face are?? a very nice lady on the BR thread suggested posting my pictures so you all might try figuring it out? theres suppose to be 5 assorted Wyandottes in this batch so heres a couple of pictures the day they got here, will get a close up tomorrow if ya need it. Ty all Kim

Well, that wasn't exactly what I meant when I suggested this thread...

What happened to the wide shot with most of your chicks in it? I figured the "pros" over here could spot your Wyandottes out in the crowd. I still think that the 5 dark chicks you got are the Wyandottes, not the yellow/grey ones. You may need to start a "What am I?" thread to figure out the weird ones, but it could get you a faster answer to what they are...

Hello again I'm and idiot and can't figuture out which of these are my Wyandlotte chicks theres suppose to be 5 I see maybe 3?? Help guys closer pictures below of the chicks in question.

I think the speckled stripy ones are my Wyandottes but have no clue why theirs only 3 I ordered 5
The gray saddled and gray faced babies no one has any idea what they are?

Sorry I can't help with the chicks, I just hatched my first yesterday but they are all BLR. I am sure someone can help if not here on the what breed/gebder is this section.

Speaking of BLR does anyone on here have BLR Bantams? I have been looking for over a year, I contacted Ruth B but have not heard back at all. I REALLY want some bad so if anyone has them or knows of any breeders please let me know!

I think Ideal offers Blue Laced Red bantam chicks. I'm not sure of the quality, but they might be a starting point.
