There are so many nice people on BYC, I thought you all would like to consider this.
The "You Just Made My Day" Challenge is simple. Do one thing every day to make a random stranger's day. It can be anything from saying "hi" to a stranger, to telling some lady at the supermarket that you like her hat, to giving a homeless person food or money. Every little thing could save someone's life. This is a plan that I came up with after hearing the following story in school:

A high school student was walking home one day when he noticed a girl in his grade crying. He didn't know who she was, but just the same, he smiled at her and said, "it's okay." Then he walked home.
When he got there, there was a message on the answering machine. It was the girl who had been crying. She said that he had saved her life. She was crying because she was planning to commit suicide by swallowing an entire bottle of painkillers when she got home. She was planning this because nobody was nice to her at school (yes, I think it's a dumb reason too). The boy had literally saved her life, just by smiling at her.
So. Do you want to take the challenge? Just do something nice to a total stranger at LEAST once daily for a week. It gives back to you- not only does the stranger feel good, but you do too. I've been doing this for about a week and it's very neat.
If you want to participate, post below. Then update us at the end of the week... if you like it, shoot for a month, then a year... all the way through your entire life.
