Those were both wonderful stories! There are still great people in this world. I have been on both ends of pay it forward and both are incredible feelings. It does restore your faith in people!
golly.. I had just stopped crying came back to this thread and again..
(oh and as for the inbox being full.. I really had no idea.. I always saw those threads about peoples inbox being full, I then think to myself ... wow they sure are popular.. oh my goodness it is me, just being lazy)
Years ago when my youngest daughter had a serious eye injury the doctor wrote off a substantial part of the bill. I mean really BIG bill. We didn't have 2 nickles to rub together. I never forgot his kindness and in the years since then we have been in position to anonymously help someone in need and guess what? It is almost to the red cent the same amount of money we owed the physician after the surgery!
It's nice to hear about there are still good people out there!! I got tears in my eyes. it really takes so little to help someone else... Off to buy my feed
Definitely choked up over these posts...been kind of tender hearted all weekend. My Sunday school class just took on a family for Christmas, single mom with 3 kids, they just moved here from Texas. Very bad situation, but we are hoping to make their Christmas a bright spot. We collected $300 dollars yesterday morning just from my class. The thing that gets me, the wish list from the little boys...not much, just action figures. I have a son their same age and it just hit home with me, so I volunteered to do the shopping for them. I get so emotional over this kind of stuff.
Just when I had completely lost faith in humankind you post your lovely story.
My daughter is a soldier in the Army and I know of a few acts of kindness people have done for her over the last few years. I'm so grateful and have prayed blessings for those people many times.
I challenge myself and all BYC'ers to do a random act of kindness at least once over the next 2 weeks....and pay it forward if someone does one for you.
