My dad is a Vietnam vet, and on Veterans day, my mom took my dad out to lunch at a little restaurant in their small little town. After their lunch, when the waitress came to bring them the check, she asked if either of them had served in the military, and said that an anonymous donor was paying for all meals that day for any veterans.
My dad said its the first time he has ever been honored like that for his military service.
