There has to be a thread for incubator recs...

My humidity hit 60% today for about 45 mins. Will they be ok? (We are experiencing wild temp fluctations, which is causing humidity fluctation.)

Yep! I had some major humidity fluctuation in my first hatch. Hatch rate wasn't good, but that was because of shipped eggs, not humidity. 50% of the eggs made it until close to lockdown.
If temp/humidity fluctuates for a short amount of time in the beginning its not that big of a deal. Your babies will be just fine. 😊

Also, the NR is really great, but since its only plastic it doesn't have the best temperature/humidity installation. You want to keep it away from a window, or any where were the temp will fluctuate in your house. NR's are very sensitive to surrounding temp/humidity.

Yeah, I'm not sure where I'm going to put it once there's babies. I imagine it would also be quite sensitive to cats :p

Welp, I set 12 eggs. 3 were infertile and one died by day 7. I candled them for the second time today. (11 days before hatch) and 2 more had quit while one that looked mostly viable had an egg that was completely full of hairline cracks. It wasn't moving anymore and had barely any veins, so I pulled it. It sucks because it was alive 2 days ago. I will candle one more time in 3 days, and hopefully we'll have a couple of babies.
