don't think there eating there pellets , every time i go in the pen the pellets are still there. i do give them scrapes
from time to time. what should i be doing?

Make sure the feed isn't moldy...if there's nothing wrong w the feed,. stop giving them treats, they will eat their feed when they are hungry.
Also, when you run out of pellets, try crumbles instead. Many chickens prefer crumbles to pellets.
Meanwhile, you might try adding a little water to the pellets, so they dissolve into a crumbly mash, not too soggy. Add a splash of apple cider vinegar to the water first. Or go one step further-- try fermenting the feed by letting the moist feed stand a few days. There are many forums on fermented feeds.
By the way, you didn't say if they are free range. Free range chickens often find all they need by foraging, and may not eat much, if any feed.
Good luck!
