Yes very I freaked out called vets an the nature center to find out is she was going to die no one could tell me! Thank goodness she didn’t she’ll be 13 next month.
I would have freaked out too! - 13 Years? That's a biblical age for a duck! Proves that you do an eggcellent job!

A soaking wet mouse slides down a duck throat more easy! 🤢
Just don't imagine what else your ducks will find and eat and convert into wonderful tasty eggs…
Lol, so terrible and gross to think about.
Saw them eat a spider that was so big it made me want to crawl out of my own skin 😜 Such beautiful creatures but you're right...tiny little dinosaurs!

Blanca killing and eating that mouse was the grossest thing i have seen the duckies doing so far. All those hairy spiders and green caterpillars is just child's-play.
Oh yes, that one afternoon when they all over-ate on grasshoppers and puked all over the place, that was special too…
Are you still enjoying your Duck Eggs for breakfast? 😈 :gig

Well that's an image thats going to stick with me for a while 🤮
Breakfast this morning may be toast...just toast 🍞🥯🥐 ☕😊

Hi Friends,

during one of the coldest nights of this winter here in WV (-9°C/16F) i looked if everything is OK with the Duckies and discovered »Seppuku Mouse« (aka. Harakiri Mouse). It seems to know that the ducks don't see very well in the dark, but at ~7:50 one of the ducks must have seen or heart something and investigates. Lucky mouse escaped though.
Its a baby, leave it to mother nature

Just had my medium-hard boiled duck-egg and it was delicious!
As gross as eating all these things may sound to you now, this is what ducks and chickens are supposed to eat. And you don't want to know what is really going into that industrial poultry feed, be it organic or not. It is an industry! They are supposed to earn money, not make our ducks or chickens happy. I had a consulting-job at a cattle- and poultry-feed factory back in Germany two decades ago… I would prefer the hairy spider!

Of course they love eating all the insects they can find. Makes them happy and means less crawly critters in our yard :)
I've seen enough episodes of "Dirty Jobs" to know you're right, I don't want to know what's going into their feed...
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirty_JobsNo doubt you saw some very interesting things while working there.
