How are they not? I would like your opinion.
Their coloring is all wrong for a NHR. Plus their body type doesn't look right either.
Exactly right. Too often people just guess at a breed here w/o actually knowing what the breed's characteristics are. The colour on these birds is absolutely wrong for them to be New Hampshires. In one of these threads there's also almost always a reference to Feathersite. The problem there being that Feathersite offers some very poor examples of a number of breeds/varieties.
Apparently the birds pictured are from a European site. I am not at all familiar with Standards in other countries. I have seen the UK Standard & their's are much different than ours in many cases.
In the US, if the birds pictured in the OP were entered as New Hampshires in a show I was judging they'd be disqualified because they are too far from the breed standard.
Yes they do look like Lincolnshire Buffs, which are a rare/uncommon breed.
The birds look to have the correct colouring, it is a shame that in the picture you can not see the feet as they should have 5 toes. I have 4 of them in my back garden.

well they were from a european site, and we weren't trying to do anything but guess. besides, we use what is available to us, and most birds are poor examples of their breed. so you don't know what they are either? i still think some type of sussex, maybe buff.
