    They are beautiful!! The hen looks like one of my brown hens, who is a New Hampshire Red. She has the black tipped tail and big body too. She is much more golden in the light, like the hen in the picture.

    The hen looks a lot like my New Hampshires. I only had one that looked red (RIP Jane Marple); the others were golden like the hen in the photo. Beautiful!

    If they are supposed to be New Hampshires they're the poorest coloured New Hampshires I've ever seen. I would assume them to be a cross of some sort.

    NYREDS, do you mean my girls aren't what they should be? Most of them are reddish gold. I'm fond of NHs and would like to get more; should I go to a different breeder/hatchery?
