These girls are worse than a drunken prom date

Ooooh! A 30-second man!!!

If the girl's roo took 30 seconds they'd get aggravated with him. Chicken matings take five seconds literally.

Being without a mature roo right now I can say your DH has my sympathies. I have a squat riot going every time I walk out the door anymore and I'm female.

I just laughed out loud! And I'm at work, but that's ok- they already know I'm crazy! My chooks have always had a roo, but I had two poor turkey ladies that were tomless. Everytime they would see me, they'd fly all the way across the yard to squat for me (I'm a girl, and they just didn't seem to understand that I couldn't help them out in this particular situation

). One of the hens would even strut for me. So I started roughing up their feathers a little and patting them on the back, then they'd go lay their eggs and leave me the heck alone! Having a 25 lb turkey stalker definately wasn't a major high point in my life

I cannot quit laughing at all the posts above!! I have 2 roos and none of my girls are laying yet, but Rochester (my oldest roo) is having a lot of fun chasing and poking to his hearts content!! Once Jon-Boy matures Rochester will have to learn to share.

What kind of pheramones is your husband throwing out there to the girls? LOL

My hens do that to me, and I'm a woman. But if another person comes over, and it's a man, they do it to him. But not other women. You can't tell me that they don't know the difference! LOL!! I'm just laughing myself silly picturing this man trying to sneak out of the house without the chickens seeing him! HAHAHAHA

My roo injured his leg and had to be in the "infirmary" cage to heal up and for three weeks all twelve girls would "assume " the position every time walked through the gate!

I learned to give them a little scratch with my walking stick and would get up happy as can be. I sure was glad when the rooster was healed up, so was he! But one still has a crush me!
