Well soon my friends will be referring to me as the crazy chicken lady

I ordered
White Silkies, straight run
Silver laced Polish, straight run
Blue laced Red Wyandottes, female
Silver Laced Wyandotte, straight run
Easter Eggers, female

Hatchery sent 4 extra, and all are alive and well! This is my first mail order, and first time I’ve brooded baby chicks. I’m super impressed they made it from Missouri to Arizona in 19 hours.

Hubby even set up a live webcam so I can keep my eye on them lol!

So, my only question, I’m not sure how to tell my blue laced red wyandottes apart from some of the EE.

Good luck. Do you have them in the house? One time I raised 50 chicks in a kids swimming pool with a center board that I clipped the brooder lamp to. I had wire on top so they could not fly out and towels on top the wire. The light got too hot on the towels and started to smolder. I almost set the house on fire. Thst was some lesson!!! Have a great time with your chicks. They grow fast.

I was thinking the same thing! They grow up so quickly, but they fly even sooner! LOVE little peeps!

Unfortunately, yes they are in the house in a spare room. I do have a dog play pen mostly around the pool, which I know they could fit through, I’ll just have to figure it out when it starts happening.
