The wife and I got our shipment of black copper Marans eggs in today..
She just sent me a video of the unboxing since I'm at work. LOL.
They seem to have been packaged fairly well and no damage to any of the eggs.
24-hour rest time and then in the incubator they will go
I'm excited to get them in there as I'm sure she is too.

Picked up at 11:20 a.m. yesterday and arrived today at 3:44 hopefully that means less time in transit less issues

Oh I'm sure it'll be documented here, we have 16 other eggs in the incubator right now.. these will go in the incubator with the other 16 and when it's time for lockdown we have a different incubator to put those 16 in.
I'm sure my wife or I will be posting pictures on here

I'm sure it will be fine but just a word of caution if you add the 16 to the incubator. If they are not very warm they will seriously lower the temps in the incubator. I stuck 6 in mine and the temps dropped by a degree for 12 hours. It took a full 24 hours to stabilize. I know the fluctuation was minor but I only added 6 eggs. It takes them a minimum of 12 hours to heat up if they haven't been preheated. I would suggest you maybe add half and the rest 12 hours later or even more staggered. You might ask why and that is a valid question, it might be negligible but the first time you set the eggs they all warm up at the same time. If you add eggs later the eggs are already in full swing of development and a drop of 1 degree for 12 hours should ideally be avoided. Depends how good your incubator can handle changes.
Just a heads up. Also think about when to stop turning and raising humidity - will the increased humidity affect the other eggs not in lockdown? Will you need to open the incubator to turn eggs during lockdown which most people avoid at all cost due to the sharp humidity changes caused when opening the incubator? The egg turner needs to be turned off and the remaining eggs still need to be turned yet during lockdown the incubator ideally should not be opened. Think about these challenges you will be facing.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, there are already 16 eggs in an incubator with a turner.
We do have two incubators , one without a turner that is going to be used on day 18 for those 16 eggs. Lockdown.. hatching.
I do believe you're correct in adding the new eggs to the incubator slowly.
Maybe we should add the new eggs to the other incubator for 24 hours to get them up to temperature before we add them to the incubator with the turner?
