It was probably trying to eat her food. She was simply taking back what was hersTell her she did a good job from meyou might not know it now, but I bet that rodent was evil
Mine have not had a problem after eating mice, frogs, and snakes. Imagine the size of the bones in a mouse. Not much bigger than the duck chow, oyster grit, or some of the treats they enjoy. At least they are not puking it back up in tidy masses like owls. How do they manage to digest the skull and bones?? Do they just??
You know what? Not going to ask.
When my son found a rat's nest in a tire in his shed, there was an unholy commotion as his female ducks fought with each other over eating the rat babies. His muscovy got he first one and was initially chased round the garden until a pekin had the sense to go back and look where the muscovy had found the baby rat.I found a dense wet clump of fur, today, that's why I'm curious. It was next to the water bucket but definitely wasn't there this morning
