How old is the girl in the prologue? Is she a seer too? How did she manage to hospitalize a full grown woman possessed by a demon? Why did the mom shift? Do the demons cause a shift when they get strong enough?

1. About 9 or 10, but she can be older if you want.
2. Yes. That's why she was telling her "mother" that her "mother" was changing.
3. She had a knife, screwdriver, some kind of weapon, and I'm assuming that someone heard screaming and called the police.
4. She was possessed, and the demon inside her was feeding off of the little girl's fear, making it able to stay in its Heki form for a short period of time. Because the dreamer (Britt) was a seer too, she saw what the girl saw. (Is this what you meant?)
5. Yes, but only after years and years of possession, and by then they're almost unstoppable.
