They Hatched! Now, what color will they be?

3 out of 6 of our shipped silkie eggs hatched. Any thoughts on what colors they will be? Still waiting to hear back from the breeder...

They are adorable! I see one little black one. The lighter one with three stripes down it's back looks like a light partridge and the other one with one stripe down its back looks like a medium partridge.

They are adorable. The black is so tiny, I have a faverolle that hatched the same day that is literally twice her/his size. How old do silkies have to be before I can start determining if any of them are roo's?

Silkies are definitely one of the trickiest breeds to sex. So I'd say post pics when they're six weeks at the youngest. I can't get over how cute they are!

Male partridge birds have different coloring than females.
I’m not sure if it shows up well in Silkies though.
Mine is hatchery quality and I’ve always thought she was female.
She’s 4 months old.

I was getting suspicious lately about that.
Actually it makes sense because Silkie (her/his name) has always been very confident and never had the personality I’ve heard Silkies have; bottom of the pecking order, picked on, etc.

What are the signs?
