Omg I was at rural king and I fell… in love with 2 baby Brahma hens on Sunday ! Accidents happen a lot there !!

I was in Rural King getting cat food (yes, I cheated on Chewy, but it was $2/pack cheaper!), and suddenly I heard cheeping.

Not seeing the $2 savings on dog food Also don't think there is a $avings lesson to be learned. Especially when it comes to chicks... DB chicks to be precise ♡. Congratulations!

I have 33 6wk old chicks..and plan to hatch...

Chicken math… happens to us all! I was only going to get 8 Blue Cochins this year…tally? 9 Blue Cochins, 1 Blue Polish, 7 Silver Laced Cochins and 6 White Crested Polish. it happens!

I think I’m very lucky to live in the Netherlands , and not to be subjected to this temptation. Selling chicks in shops is not allowed.

Next thing is that its a no go to have loud crowing rooster.
So whenever I like more chicks, I need to collect hatching eggs from a breeder. I prefer hatching eggs over chicks to avoid importing diseases and because my broody hens are extremely happy with them.

I’ve had both Light and Dark Brahmas. Wonderful birds. Had a Light Brahma rooster who was amazing (my profile picture) and still have 1 12 year old hen still giving me 1 egg every so often .
