I'm thinking your needing some new hatching eggs that you have been drooling over lately.

No seriously, I'm sorry for your loss. I can sympathize with you nearly exactly.

My DH turned off the faucet that was attached to a hose while I was out of town. Of course he didn't bother to see where the hose was running. I came home to find the faucet turned off, my fish pond bone dry and all my beautiful fish dead in the hot California sun. I asked DH if he had turned off the faucet. He admitted he had. He said had turned it off because he had noticed it was running. I asked him why he hadn't bothered to see WHERE the trickle of water was going. He didn't have much to say when I showed him.

So sorry for your loss.... After reading all the other responses, I do feel a little less alone when I am tearing my hair out because my DH has decided to be a teenager!! I don't know how I would have responded, but I wish you luck!! I don't know if he would've been still asleep if her were mine...or if I would've been ordering the new bator and what ever else I needed while he was sleeping!! Sometimes appropriate retail therapy is just what you need to get past something like this!! Good luck!!

Too bad about the chickies... you need one of those signs that threatens bodily injury to any messing with the birds...I know they have them for bators, you need one for brooders..
