They wont come out

going on two days now that they will only take a look out of the coop door, but will not set foot on the snow.

Granted this afternoon they are going to be forced to since it's coop cleaning day. And it has to be done today before we get the next storm tomorrow. Gonna be a long winter for them at this rate

LOL !!! Some of mine do this also. I tell them the same thing.... Gonna be a long winter looking at the walls !! Some listen and come out the others just stay in and take turns looking !! Silly chickens.

I did notice that if I throw out a little sratch they come out a little more !!

Maybe you can put a small TV in there for them.

You could put a DVD player in there with "Chicken Run" on a continuous loop!

Mine won't come out either and I'm going on 4 days today with an ice storm moving in this afternoon. Scratch doesn't help, they just let that freeze into the snow.

I live where snow is not very common, but we've been getting a bit. I have 3 pullets. 1 comes out everyday and the snow, ice, or whatever the weather du jour is doesn't bother her, 1 comes out for short periods of time to say hi, but quickly heads back to the coop, and the 3rd hasn't left the coop in days either.

Mine are not coming out which is so annoying because we just covered their run before the snow got here. They have NO excuse!!!!
