Didn't want to share his food. Probably afraid your hen was going to pull out the chips, salsa and head for the sofa for the remote and some TV viewing. Why should the people have all the fun?

I went out to refresh the chickens water late yesterday evening. There was the leftovers of the pizza we had for supper sitting on the table, so I grabbed a half slice that I had eaten all the toppings off and carried it with me.
Two hens came running to me, but then ran away since they've never seen pizza before. Then Chloe ran up and grabbed it. She refused to go to roost last night until she finished that pizza. She lives to eat that chicken.

Sounds like my EE, Rusty. She's the heaviest bird I have and she's never met a treat from me she wouldn't at least try once. Get there first and claim your share! Next trip to grocer you'll have to have a shopping list from Chloe to consult. No, no, that's the baby reds she likes not the spuds. That's not leafy enough so just put it back! She clearly states here she likes FRESH, crisp field greens.

My chickens like to sneak into the pantry where we keep the cockatiel food. Sometimes you walk in there and theres a chicken with her head in the cockatiel food bag and her but in the air..

My RIR steal the cats food all the time! We have had to start throwing pellets before we can feed the cat or he goes hungry.
