Thick egg and hatching

The shell is not thick but the membrane under it. When we eat the eggs we have a harder time cracking them open then a store bought egg. Is this normal and will the chicks be able to zip through?

The 1rst time I ate an egg for breakfast my mom thought there was a 1/2 developed chicken LOL. I looked at her then got a toothpick and broke the membrane and she blushed and said "oh" LOL. It should be fine to eat and if the chick cant break through it just means it wasnt a very strong chick
