Things you wish you could say

My kitty does not have kidney disease. 🥲 🥲 🥲
Unfortunately, that is the cause of death for most kitties. Renal failure is especially common in older cats.

You can help your cat's quality of life with subcutaneous fluids. They're not too expensive, and it's not hard to learn how to administer them.

Yeah, I had another cat that had CKD. I did the Sub Q fluids for her.

This cat has always been difficult. She was a rescue and I can't even trim her nails. She freaks out of you try to hold her to do anything. She also freaks out if she is closed into a room, even a large room.
It's almost impossible to get her in a cat carrier unless she feels too bad to fight.

She can detect even minute traces of meds in her food. So difficult!

I had been preparing myself to lose my other cat. The feline love of my life. She has CKD, diabetes and a heart murmur. I figured we would have Babygirl for a long time because she's been so healthy.

Do you see the mischievousness in this little face?

Sigh. Wish I could say: My SIL and BIL did not have their modular home built on our property by mistake, driving up the assessed value of our property by about a third - and, consequently, raising our property taxes significantly. I also wish I could say that when we agreed to let them tie into our well, they had offered to contribute to our increased monthly electric bill. Finally, I wish I could say I am not resentful about any of this. 😒

Awww... I still miss Pig, who passed away last month. She was 17. Widget is not showing signs of renal failure yet, but she's 19, so it's only a matter of time. It's so hard to lose our fur family members.

Yay, assessor found easy fix. Will assess SIL's MH as "personal property" as if it is a vehicle and SIL can pay the taxes on it and it won't impact us at all. :wee:ya
