Things you wish you could say

Passengers in your car should not get thrown forward at every red light and stop sign, or whiplash at every green light or turn. I don't want to say you're a terrible driver but.... there's certainly room for improvement.

Learning to drive a manual is good training for feathering pedals.

I'm in the opposite boat... constantly trying to make it the smoothest ride possible for my mom with back pain. And having her protest if I need to lay on the brakes due to a car in front of me acting badly ("Would you rather smash into them?").
She used to swear she would never be a backseat driver... she even worked for a taxi service, and let me fly her in Idaho off on a camping trip when I was 17.
But now, she gets cranky if I have to go up more than one lane to find a parking spot 😅 So I usually drop her off at the door.
