Things you wish you could say

This was 83 years ago. Aren’t we tired of hanging on to the hate yet? I got blamed every friggin’ year from grade school into high school for Pearl Harbor. Two years ago yesterday, my car was vandalized. Can’t this be taught in history right next to the Japanese American concentration camps?

:hugs I'm sorry for the way you were treated. It's not right. The Japanese are beautiful people with a beautiful culture. We need to learn from history in a way that moves forward and heals. ❤️

I remember every year and lower my flag to half staff. It's not out of hate, it's just a respect for what this country has gone through. I do the same on 9/11. I'm sorry you and your family(other Japanese too, I'm sure) are unfairly targeted. That's not right and never will be. I am familiar with the "camps" this country had at the time and that is a stain on our history that they don't teach about, you're right

Sadly, people going to hate, and if someone looks different from us ----------
I was absolutely unaware of the Japanese American concentration camps until one day my dentist told me about his grandmother and her family being interred. Man's inhumanity to man. I would wish for better.

I wish I could say that my dog is a perfect angel while I'm at work. He did not jump on the island, knock my chicken butter dish down, break it, and eat all the butter. And I wish I could say that the other day, he did not jump on the stove, knock the baking I did to the ground and ate it all. And last week he ate a whole package of dark chocolate. This is all new behavior, I truly don't know what his issue is lately. When he jumped on the stove, he could have turned the gas on and killed himself and my bird, let alone burn the house down

I had a beagle that ate anything made of paper when left home alone, so we put it all on top of our 75 gallon fish tank. Undeterred, he got on top of that, 5 feet up, and ate it anyway.

He also got on the kitchen counters and ate a batch of chocolate chip cookies, and the fancy Tupperware they were in. I feel your pain.

My dog will be 5 in March. He has never done these things before. I used to be able to trust him with anything. I would say "leave it" if I dropped something and he would listen. Now he lunges for it. I need to buckle down on his training again, maybe

It sounds like it. But also I just want to note that sometimes sudden behavioral changes can be medical too. In his case it’s probably not but just throwing that out there as a possibility too.

I thought of that as well. He seems fine but has an appt on Sat for vaccines anyways so I'll talk to the vet
