Things you wish you could say

You can't fix willful stupidity. Don't even bother trying. The willfully stupid have decided to abandon reason and dig in just to spite you. Don't play their game.

You will never convince someone to put aside a firmly held belief by providing facts and logic as alternatives.

Walk away from toxic people and toxic relationships. Even if they're family. "Distant relatives" are still relatives, that won't change. Sometimes you just need to be a family from a bit further away to keep your sanity.

This is a conversation for one specific person in my life who is having a very hard time right now. However, feel free to apply it to your own lives if it means something to you too.

That's really stupid. Take a basic animal husbandry course. Does that really make any sense ? Misinformation is worse than no information. If you have no clue then just don't post. Are you serious. That is inhumane. Why not stuff that cockerel instead of hugging it ? Why don't you just get stuffed birds ?

Okay, I feel better now. Those are all comments I have been tempted to post in response to some of the idiocy I have run into today. The Pond is such a soothing place. :love
A rant from several years ago.

Don't you have a cookbook or internet? Don't ask me how to cook it!
Going along with this, I asked my mom what her recipe for German Chocolate cake was. My hubby loved it and I wanted to make it for his birthday. She said she lost it. Then said she made a mix, which she has never done so I knew she was lying. Then said she even bought the icing🙄 So I told her I would just look it up online, did, and found a fantastic recipe! She seems to have forgotten about the interent

I'm a lousy cook, tbh. I don't have the patience.

But I have grandma's 1940 cookbook. It helps.

This was my dad's favorite. I can't bring myself to make them anymore.
