We have settled it with applying to the new resort opening across the lake and leaving horrid reviews on indeed.

I am letting everyone else take the tvs. They need the money and/or the tvs. I do not need any of it.

I am sincerely hoping that he was just venting when he talked about layoffs. I love my coworkers. But we are already down 1, another is leaving, and once her friend learns that she is leaving she will leave too. Come spring we lose the temporary housekeeper to the restaurant, and then it will be just me and my sil for spring/summer. If we get laid off, he will have a whopping 0 housekeepers, and no one is applying.

Yeah. My money is on him just venting to the managers. Or he truly has no idea that he is about to lose most of his housekeepers anyway.

Thank you all for your condolences. Where everyone at work was worried about being laid off, I came up with the idea that if the boss fires us all because he did not make a crap ton more money than he wanted to (he still made a crap ton of profit, just not as much as he wanted to), then we are going to help ourselves to his toiletries and towels. Let him pay to replace all of that because he does not want to pay his employees even minimum wage. It is not like he put in money for security cameras or anything, so why not?
