Things you wish you could say

The way they do that is to place a queen bee in a cage under their chin. The swarm will surround her. Swarming is the one time that bees are extremely gentle.
I actually like bees. I'm just careful around them. I've never been stung by a honey bee unless it was panicked (grabbed [I was 6] stepped on, hit when flying along by a motorcyclist).
 
I would be panicking. I would not be able to name them all before losing them, and that would drive my anxiety sky-high.
The queen is in a cage. Only the scouts will be leaving as they search for a new home. The rest will all stay where the queen is. She's in a cage and isn't going anywhere.

The male bees are drones and exist for the sole purpose of mating with the queen bee on her maiden flight. In the fall as winter approaches the workers drive the drones out of the hive to die.
