Nope, you can see the size of their brains. It is kind of sad to watch as the workers drag the drones out of the hive in the fall as they struggle trying to stay.

Flick goes the worker, and scoop goes the drone. Now I want to make a big shelter for the males and give them all the sweets I can get my hands on. Poor little things. This is depressing and making me want to cry. The males can do so much more than just baby-making!

All they do is a one time mating and eat the rest of the time. They do not do anything productive. They're bees, you can't change them without centuries of genetic work and probably not even then.
