Things you wish you could say

HA! I'll bet!
I 'flunked' out of piano too, but could play the guitar pretty well(with chord diagrams).
I don't think I ever took less than 2nd place in the competitions. I only remember a couple of 2nd places. My mom wanted me to be a professional pianist, but there are so many excellent musicians out there that it becomes a game of who you know rather than how good you are.

My cousin had the same scenario with golf.

But now I want to say....are you bragging?
:gig :gig :gig

People look at me weird when I'm holding a conversation with them and keeping eye contact while typing.
A friend of mine writes for numerous magazines. He was working on an article while we were talking. I finally asked, "So you can talk and type about two different subjects at the same time?" He said, "Yup."

He once told me that touch typing and speed reading had probably added a few years' worth of work to his production.

My typing class in high school was on actual type writers! I only took it because I needed the credit to graduate. So, I slacked off and still got an "A" because the teacher was retiring and didn't care. Wish I would have tried harder though. I seek and peck now but I'm pretty fast at it 😂

My class was similar. I'm not sure why I even took that class. Early 70's.
The teacher said "I guess a man COULD be an executive assistant. If a business man traveled he surely couldn't the his secretary along."

I took the class because it was my senior year, I only had 5 periods scheduled, so I had to fill in with an elective. I was already taking French and Independent study piano, so I added typing for the heck of it.

Taking income from people on unemployment has got to be one of the lower levels of nasty I can think of. It's bad enough taking from people who have plenty, but taking from people who are down is just evil.

(I got a text this morning saying it was from the EDD and that there was suspicious activity on my account with a link. Of course, I didn't click on the link, but I did go to the EDD site to check my account, and, of course, there was nothing weird.)

Telemarketers:
If I ask to be removed from your call list, I understand it can take a bit to process. Why are you calling me 3 times a day for the same product with the same robot for 3 months straight?

Don't accuse me of wasting your time when I get frustrated with the robot and ask to speak to a human and ask to be removed from the list for the (3x daily * 30 days * 3 months) 270th time.

Stop generating different phone numbers. I've already blocked the first 270, so what makes you think the 271st will get me to buy your product?

*business phone that I must answer.
*website for the company states that they are not calling but a different company is using their name.

Can you tell that I'm a little frustrated? Can you really?

If they're calling from a different number every time, they're spoofing, likely from a call center in India, and aren't legit. They don't care, and if you call them or take their call, they're just selling your number as a live one.

The best thing you can do is block the number and ignore the call.
